Club Southside is a vibrant and welcoming venue known for great food, friendly service, and a strong team culture. We operate both a busy restaurant and we are looking for a passionate chef to join our kitchen team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a skilled chef who enjoys working across restaurant operations. With no two days being the same, you'll play an important role in supporting service, food preparation, and maintaining high kitchen standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Food preparation and cooking using a variety of culinary techniques
• Preparing, cooking and presenting quality meals consistently
• Assisting with stock control, rotation, and ordering
• Monitoring portion control and minimising waste
• Collaborating with Head Chef on menu plans and specials
• Ensure observance of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Supervise food preparation of Cooks and junior kitchen staff
• Following workplace health & safety procedures
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
• Strong understanding of food safety and workplace health & safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, positive, and motivated attitude
• Ability to cook and present high-quality dishes
